Terms of Engagement
The Creative Partnership
At Bespoke Copy Studio, we view our work as a shared endeavour. Our commitment is to provide prose that is not only functional but evocative and enduring. In return, we ask for the clarity and cooperation required to bring such a vision to life. All timelines discussed are estimates of the creative process; we prefer to ensure a sentence is "just so" rather than rush a manuscript to meet a hurried clock.
Intellectual Property & The Transfer of Rights
The alchemy of our writing—the concepts, metaphors, and specific phrasing created during our time together—remains the sole property of Bespoke Copy Studio until the final invoice is settled in full.
Provisional Access: Any drafts shared during the process are for review purposes only.
Final Release: Upon receipt of the final payment, we realise a full and permanent transfer of copyright to you. At this point, the words become your heritage, to be used as you see fit.
Investment & Settlement
To secure a place in our studio’s diary, a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required before work commences. This allows us to dedicate the necessary time and research to your project. The remaining balance is due upon the approval of the final draft and prior to the delivery of the unprotected, editable manuscript.
Revisions & Refinement
We aim for perfection, yet we recognise that a story may need a gentle nudge to sit perfectly. Our standard packages include two rounds of refinements. These are intended for the polishing of the existing vision; any significant change in the project’s "direction" or "scope" after work has begun may be subject to an additional fee, discussed and agreed upon with the transparency you would expect from a partner.
The "Kill Fee"
Should a project be halted for any reason beyond our control, a "Kill Fee" proportionate to the work completed will be invoiced. In such an event, the rights to any work produced remain with Bespoke Copy Studio, ensuring our creative efforts are protected.
Confidentiality
Your trade secrets, family histories, and business strategies are safe within the walls of the studio. We maintain a strict policy of discretion, ensuring that our ghostwriting remains just that—a quiet, invisible hand behind your brand’s voice.
